Analytics tool that sells itself as "Google for your data" — you search in a box and get a chart back.
Founded in 2012 in California by Ajeet Singh (earlier a Nutanix co-founder) and Amit Prakash (from Google's and Microsoft's search teams). The idea was to replace the clicking of traditional BI with free-text search: type "revenue by region last quarter" and the engine generates the query and the chart. An indexing engine underneath keeps answers fast over large tables. Later the search was dressed in natural language via LLMs (Sage). It competes with Tableau, Power BI and Looker to be the layer where non-technical users ask their own questions.
