BI platform

Israeli BI platform whose columnar "ElastiCube" engine promised to crunch large datasets on ordinary servers, no separate warehouse required.

Founded in 2004 in Tel Aviv by Elad Israeli and others. The selling point was ElastiCube: a columnar, in-memory engine that packed data tightly enough for a single server to answer analytical queries that would otherwise need an expensive warehouse — its "In-Chip" technology. The company moved its headquarters to New York and later leaned into embedded analytics, where customers drop Sisense charts into their own products rather than buying a standalone dashboard. It bought the analytics tool Periscope Data in 2019.
