Bosch-owned specialist in drive and control technology — hydraulics, servos and motion control for heavy industry.

Formed in 2001 when Robert Bosch merged Mannesmann Rexroth with its own automation arm; the headquarters sit in Lohr am Main. The Rexroth heritage is hydraulics and linear motion, but the company covers the full span of drive technology: IndraDrive servos, motion controllers and the open, Linux-based ctrlX AUTOMATION.

The Sercos real-time interface, which drives servo axes on tight timing, was developed by the Rexroth predecessor Indramat. The products end up in presses, paper machines and robot cells where many axes must move in lockstep.
