Type
Contact centre (CCaaS)

A French cloud phone system built to live inside the CRM rather than in a wall jack.

Started in Paris in 2014 on a simple premise: a phone system for support and sales that lives inside the tools they already have open. Numbers are provisioned in the browser, and calls are logged automatically in Salesforce, HubSpot and the like without anyone touching a PBX.

The business model is integrations rather than hardware, which puts Aircall in the same groove as Dialpad and Nextiva but closer to the contact centre than to the classic office switchboard. The company hit a billion-dollar valuation in 2021.
