Clerk was founded in 2020 by Colin Sidoti and provides the whole login layer — sign-up, sessions, profiles, organizations — as ready-made components you drop into a frontend. The audience is developers who want more than a raw auth API but less work than a bespoke build.
Support for passkeys and magic links is built in. It sits close to Auth0 and Stytch, but with the weight on the interface itself rather than just the token exchange.
