Unity's procedural camera package: you describe what to film, not where the camera goes.
Camera code is the part of every game that gets rewritten three times. Cinemachine replaces it with virtual cameras, each with a target to follow, a composition to hold and rules for dead zones, damping and wall collision. The real camera simply looks through whichever virtual camera currently has the highest priority, and blends smoothly when that changes.
It started life as a paid add-on in the Unity Asset Store; Unity acquired it in 2017 and made it free and standard. The same system drives both gameplay cameras and cutscenes, which was the point: one film grammar, not two. Camera shake comes as a ready-made module, so nobody has to write it from scratch ever again.
