camt.057

Web På svenska → Updated: 2026-10-31

The ISO 20022 message in which an account owner warns its bank that money is on the way in.

The name is NotificationToReceive, and its predecessor in Swift's old format was the MT210. The users are mostly banks and corporate treasuries that trade currency or receive large sums from counterparties. The message states the amount, the value date and the sender, so the account-servicing bank can match the payment when it lands and the customer can count on the liquidity first thing in the morning.

It sounds like a courtesy, but in correspondent banking it is risk management. An incoming payment that matches no notice can end up in a manual review queue, and a notice with no payment behind it is an early warning that the counterparty has not paid. Reconciliation then happens against the camt.053 statement.
