Edge-AI company whose "graph streaming" architecture flows the whole neural net through the chip instead of constantly going via memory.

Started in 2010 as ThinCI, founded by ex-Intel engineers led by Dinakar Munagala, and renamed Blaize in 2019. The core idea is a Graph Streaming Processor: instead of parking intermediate results in external memory between layers, the dataflow streams through the chip as a graph, saving both time and power. The target is embedded systems — cameras, vehicles, robots.

The company listed on Nasdaq in early 2025 via a SPAC merger, a route to the public markets few of its edge rivals have taken. It brought capital, but also the quarterly scrutiny a small chip outfit is rarely ready for.
