Alps Alpine

Alps Electric was founded in 1948 in Tokyo and became a major supplier of mechanical components: switches, potentiometers, rotary encoders and connectors. Among enthusiasts it is best known for its Alps keyboard switches, fitted in Apple and many vintage computer keyboards and still hunted on the used market.

In 2019 Alps Electric merged with Alpine, famous for car audio and navigation, to form Alps Alpine. The result is a component giant whose parts you touch without knowing it — every time you turn a knob or press a button.
