Silly Venture
A demoparty in Gdańsk for Atari platforms only, from the 8-bit machines to the ST and Falcon.
Most parties split their competitions by platform; Silly Venture does the opposite and admits only Atari. Poland had an unusually strong Atari culture, because the 8-bit machines were easier to get hold of than Commodores in the 80s, and the party draws both that Polish core and the ST and Falcon scene from the rest of Europe.
The narrow focus makes it something of a family reunion. Competitions are split between 8-bit, ST and Falcon, and entries regularly show effects nobody thought that particular machine could pull off. An Atari demo has a smaller audience than a C64 one, so anyone who wants to be seen comes here.
