RAID Redundant Array of Independent Disks

Hardware På svenska → Updated: 2026-05-23

Combine multiple disks for speed, redundancy, or both.

RAID 0: speed only, no redundancy (one disk dies = everything lost). RAID 1: mirroring. RAID 5: parity, survives 1 drive failure. RAID 6: survives 2. RAID-Z (ZFS): variant. RAID is not a backup.
