Domain registrar with a pig logo and an unusually flat price list.
Porkbun opened in 2015 as the retail arm for domain names, owned by Top Level Design — the company Ray King and Peter Brual started in 2012 in Portland to run top-level domains such as .wiki, .ink, and .gay (later sold to GoDaddy Registry). Where GoDaddy built its name on upsells and renewal shock, Porkbun went the other way: flat prices, free WHOIS privacy and SSL certificates, and a deliberately goofy brand that declares itself "hooves-down" the best in the world. It passed two million domains under management in 2024.
