pain.002

Web På svenska → Updated: 2026-10-30

The bank's reply to a corporate payment file: what arrived, what was accepted and what was rejected.

Formally CustomerPaymentStatusReport, it answers a pain.001 or a pain.008. Status can apply to the whole file, a payment block or a single transaction, and comes as four-letter codes: ACTC once the file has passed technical validation, ACCP when it has been accepted, PART when only some of it went through, and RJCT when something was refused. Rejections carry a reason code from the same external code lists that pacs.002 uses.

Many banks send several reports per file, one after the format check and another after booking. ERP systems that only look for RJCT therefore tend to miss that a file of 500 payments was accepted as 499, and the missing supplier only turns up when the reminder arrives.
