MISTY1
A 1997 block cipher by Mitsuru Matsui, designed to resist the linear and differential attacks of its day.
MISTY1 was presented at Fast Software Encryption in 1997. It is a block cipher with 64-bit blocks and a 128-bit key, built as a recursive, Feistel-style structure in which FL functions mix key material between rounds.
Its real afterlife came through KASUMI, which is derived from MISTY1 and was used for confidentiality and integrity in 3G mobile networks.
