Marek Marczykowski-Górecki
Polish developer who took over leadership of Qubes OS when its founder, Joanna Rutkowska, stepped back.
Marczykowski-Górecki joined Invisible Things Lab in the project's early years and gradually became the person who wrote and maintained most of Qubes' low-level plumbing: the Xen integration, the update pipeline, and the tools that move files and clipboard contents between isolated VMs without opening a path for an attacker.
Around 2018, as Rutkowska moved on to other ventures, he became project lead. It is an unusual kind of security career: no spectacular conference exploit, just years of maintaining a system that only works if none of the boring parts are sloppy.
