Known for
Countdown to Zero Day (2014)

Security journalist who wrote the standard account of Stuxnet.

Zetter covered security for Wired for more than a decade, with voting machines, hackers and state surveillance as recurring beats, in the same newsroom as Kevin Poulsen. Her 2014 book Countdown to Zero Day reconstructs Stuxnet, the worm that sabotaged Iran's uranium enrichment at Natanz, and how it was found and taken apart by Ralph Langner, Symantec researchers and others.

The book became the reference point for how people talk about cyberweapons: four zero-day vulnerabilities in one worm, and an attack that did physical damage. Zetter has since written for The Intercept and the New York Times Magazine and runs the Zero Day newsletter.
