One of the world's largest electronics manufacturers, whose name almost no consumer has ever seen on a product.

Founded in Detroit in 1966 by James Golden and William Morean, it is named after the two of them: James and Bill. The company started out making circuit boards for the car industry and later moved to Florida, where it is still headquartered.

Jabil is an EMS provider: the brand owner designs and sells, Jabil sources components, assembles and ships. Customers range from Apple to makers of medical devices and data-centre hardware. That makes it an American counterpart to Foxconn and Pegatron, with an advantage that has grown more valuable every year – factories outside China.
