Compaq's handheld from 2000 that made the Pocket PC popular before the smartphone ate the whole category.

iPAQ was Compaq's handheld, launched in 2000 running Windows CE in its Pocket PC guise. It became one of the most popular PDAs, with a touchscreen and clip-on expansion sleeves for memory and cards. After HP's acquisition the name lived on as the HP iPAQ, later even in phone models. The whole category vanished when the smartphone took over, and HP shut iPAQ down around 2011 — roughly when its webOS bet also fizzled out.
