American security vendor rooted in Websense, focused on data loss prevention (DLP) and secure web and cloud gateways.

It came together in 2016 when Raytheon wove the freshly acquired Websense into its own cyber products and Stonesoft's firewall technology. The pitch is "human-centric" security: rather than simply blocking addresses, the products try to weigh a user's behaviour and risk level before letting data through or stopping it. The emphasis is DLP, secure web gateway, CASB and ZTNA. Raytheon sold the company to private-equity firm Francisco Partners in 2021, and the government-heavy division was carved off separately soon after. Headquarters are in Austin, Texas.
