An open-source universal ASIO driver that makes any Windows sound device look like an ASIO device, with your choice of audio API underneath.

Same idea as ASIO4ALL, different execution. FlexASIO is built on the PortAudio library, so it can route audio through WASAPI in shared or exclusive mode, through DirectSound, MME or Kernel Streaming. Shared-mode WASAPI is the selling point for many: the DAW gets its ASIO device without stealing the sound card from the browser and the video call.

There is no settings GUI; configuration lives in a TOML file in your home directory, which is exactly as friendly as it sounds. In return the code is open and well documented, and for anyone who just needs to record a podcast in an application that insists on ASIO, it is often the least painful route.
