A data-driven game engine in Rust, built entirely around an ECS architecture — young, fast-growing and open.

Carter Anderson released Bevy in August 2020. Everything in the engine — from rendering to audio — sits on top of its own Entity Component System, making the design data-oriented throughout. It is written in Rust and split into standalone crates you can pick pieces from.

It still lacks a visual editor, but it has drawn a large community that values Rust's memory safety and the modular core. Dual-licensed MIT/Apache-2.0.
