Amiga Power

På svenska → Updated: 2026-10-04

British Amiga games magazine, 1991–1996, famous for giving bad games bad scores — which was not always appreciated.

Published by Future Publishing as the games-only sibling of Amiga Format. Where other magazines rarely dipped below 70 per cent, Amiga Power used the entire scale, and its writers produced reviews that were as likely to be essays, in-jokes or open arguments with the readership.

The honesty had a price: publishers on the receiving end of a bad review sometimes stopped sending review copies. The magazine closed in 1996 as the Amiga market dried up, but has since acquired the kind of cult status few games magazines ever enjoyed while they were actually on sale.
